It comes in a tub (500g aprox) . It will make about 16 Falafel balls (if using our large falafel maker) and 4-5 Falafeleat burgers - great as part of a mezze meal, for a pita filling, sandwiches, salads, lunch boxes and picnics...
Where does Falafel come from? - Falafel is the most popular street food throughout the Middle East. It is believed to have been invented in Ancient Egypt, but some place it on the subcontinent of India, which is known until today for its delicious chickpea-based dishes.
What is falafel made of? - There’s a different falafel recipe for every region of the Middle East. Most include soaked chickpeas or broad beans, coriander, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper. A greener falafel is usually a sign of plenty of coriander. Other ingredients sometimes found are onions, parsley, paprika and sesame seeds. Soaked bread and baking soda are often used to make it more airy.
